Exhibitor Spotlight: Hunter Laing

Following the split of brothers Fred & Stewart Laing from the illustrious Douglas Laing & Co, Stewart Laing went on to enlist his sons Andrew & Scott for the creation of his new firm: Hunter Laing.

Drawing from decades of experience in the whisky industry, Hunter Laing moved away from the former firm’s focus on the export Blend sector, predominantly serving the Asian and South American markets, instead moving on to the world of specialised single malt bottlings, with numerous product lines dedicated to various aspects of the wonderful world of Scotch whisky, as seen in their Hepburn’s Choice, Old Malt Cask, Old & Rare and The First Editions ranges to name but a few of many!

Not content to solely focus on bottling some of the finest whiskies in the land, Hunter Laing have now taken the monumental leap into whisky production with the foundation of their Islay-based distillery, Ardnahoe, from which we’re excitedly awaiting the opening barrage of releases in the coming years!

We can’t wait to see what tremendous wares these stalwarts of the whisky industry will have in tow with them at Whisky Mash ‘23 and sample them with you all!
